About Me:
I’m Tyson Brooks, a multifaceted creative based in Evanston, Wyoming. My passions span from lighting design and technical theater to storytelling through various mediums.
My journey in technical theater began early, inspired by family outings where I marveled at how lighting could transform a simple stage. I’ve honed these skills through studies at Salt Lake Community College, mastering lighting design, production technology, and industry-standard software like Vectorworks and ETC’s EOS environment.
In the realm of theater, my goal is to harness the transformative power of lighting to elevate storytelling on stage, creating unforgettable experiences for audiences. Whether it’s community theater, dance productions, or worship services, I aim to bring technical brilliance to every project.
But my creativity doesn’t stop at the edge of the stage. For the past year, I’ve been exploring the world of story writing, crafting tales that span genres and formats. My works include a fictional novel series about space exploration and lunar/Martian colonization, a book about a cursed town, and an in-progress play. Leveraging AI technology, I’ve found ways to overcome challenges in focus and structure, bringing my diverse story ideas to life.
Drawing inspiration from my electrical engineer grandfather, I combine a natural affinity for electronics with an insatiable thirst for learning. This drive keeps me at the forefront of the latest technologies in our dynamic fields.
When I’m not illuminating stages or crafting narratives, you might find me designing elaborate Halloween displays or tinkering with low voltage electronics and microcontrollers. I’m also a proud husband and father, balancing my creative passions with a vibrant family life.
I invite you to explore my portfolio, which showcases both my technical theater work and my written creations. Let’s embark on a journey of storytelling, whether through the magic of stage lighting or the power of the written word!

This base, symbolizing international cooperation and technological innovation, is ready for its first long-term human inhabitants. However, transitioning from robotic to human operation presents challenges, including unforeseen issues with automated systems and the harsh lunar environment, along with political and economic pressures on Earth. As Artemis Base evolves, it serves as a proving ground for technologies needed for future Mars colonization, with protagonists Eva, Daniel, and Ben playing crucial roles in both lunar operations and Mars mission planning.
